1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website https://sharanforanimals.co.in ("Website"), operated by Sharan Education and Welfare Society (registration no. AAMTS0558DF20217), trading as "Sharan for Animals" ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Website, submitting a form, making a donation, or applying to adopt, foster, sponsor or volunteer, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. About Us

Sharan for Animals is a non-profit organisation based in Nashik, Maharashtra, working in animal rescue, rehabilitation, sterilisation, adoption and welfare since 2005. Our registered address is: Mumbai - Agra National Highway, next to Nehru Garden, Nashik, Maharashtra 422010.

3. Eligibility and Account-Free Use

The Website does not require account creation. Forms (adoption, foster, volunteer, sponsorship, cruelty report, contact, newsletter) require you to provide accurate, current and complete information. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent/guardian, to submit any form or make a donation on this Website.

4. Donations and Sponsorships

• All donations and sponsorships made through the Website are voluntary contributions towards our animal welfare activities and are used at our discretion to further our stated charitable objects.
• Where applicable, donations may be eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 . A receipt will be issued to the email address provided at the time of donation.
• Payments are processed through a third-party payment gateway. We do not store your full card or banking credentials on our servers; such information is handled solely by our payment processor in accordance with its own security standards.
• Please see our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy for information on refunds and cancellation of recurring (monthly sponsorship) payments.

5. Adoption, Fostering, Sponsorship and Volunteering

• Submission of an adoption, foster, sponsorship or volunteer application does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to screen applicants, conduct home visits or interviews, and decline any application at our sole discretion, in the best interest of the animal.
• Adoption/processing fees, where charged, cover veterinary costs (vaccination, sterilisation, deworming, etc.) already incurred and are non-refundable once an animal has been handed over, except as set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
• Adopters and fosterers are responsible for the lawful, humane care of the animal placed with them and agree to permit reasonable welfare follow-ups by our team.

6. Reporting Animal Cruelty or Abuse

Information submitted through our cruelty-reporting form is used solely to assess and respond to the report. We may share such information with local authorities (such as the police or municipal corporation) where necessary to act on a complaint. Please avoid submitting false or malicious reports; we reserve the right to disregard reports made in bad faith.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website — including text, logos, photographs of animals and events, graphics and videos — is owned by or licensed to Sharan for Animals, unless otherwise credited. You may share our content for non-commercial awareness purposes with appropriate credit, but may not reproduce, sell, or use it commercially without our prior written consent.

8. User-Submitted Content

By submitting photographs, testimonials, or messages to us (including via social media tags), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content for our charitable, awareness and fundraising purposes, with credit where reasonably possible.

9. Third-Party Links and Embedded Content

The Website contains links to and embeds from third-party platforms (for example, Instagram, YouTube, and our payment gateway). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party sites. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Nashik, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms.
